He previously founded and was the Chief Executive Officer of Security Alliance, LLC, a security firm based in the U.S. that delivered extensive protective services to the U.S. Department of State and U.S. Department of Defense. In his role, he also spearheaded the consulting division, conducting vulnerability and risk assessments and creating strategies to counter potential threats and vulnerabilities. In 2010, Security Alliance, under his direction, was recognized as the Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year by the U.S. Department of State for its pivotal role in securing U.S. embassies across Central and South America.
